The Denville String Band is northern New Jersey’s only Mummers-style band. It is in its sixty-sixth year entertaining people at parades and concerts. The band plays traditional music from Tin Pan Alley through the 1960s with a sprinkling of newer songs. Band members are all ages from high-school to retired and come from all over Morris County.

Join the MLSA and Smoke Rise sailing clubs for a beginner regatta at Island Beach on Saturday, July 27th. The captains meeting will kick off at 10am and the first race will run until lunch. $5 per sailor will entitle you to a sub sandwich and a cold drink. The next races will kick off around 1pm followed by a “senior” regatta for all those over 18 who would like to compete. Fun prizes and a great day on the lake!!
