About the Committee
The Mission of the Memorial Day Parade Committee is to plan and execute the Borough’s annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony. In doing so, it is the Committee’s responsibility to uphold the tradition of Memorial Day to remember and honor those of our community and our Nation who died in service to our Country (while protecting and preserving the freedoms we enjoy). This Committee consists of seven members and is appointed annually.
In addition, the Committee also shall offer our community the opportunity to recognize and honor the service of the Veterans and current servicemen and servicewomen of Mountain Lakes, Boonton Township and our Nation. The Committee should strive to encourage, engage and enlist the active participation of the Mountain Lakes and Boonton Township communities in the parade and ceremonies.
