You’ll learn the fundamentals of pyrography, including how to safely use a woodburning tool, practice basic strokes using a variety of tips, and how to use stencils and graphite paper to create a one-of-a-kind piece. At the Library: Dr. Barbara Tomlinson, prominent art historian and cultural resources lecturer, will speak on the Shelburne Museum of Folk Art in Shelburne, VT, concentrating on the Wyeth family. The film to follow is on Electra Havemeyer Webb, the founder of the museum. Wine and cheese refreshments will be served.
