| Astronomy Experience Night 8:15 pm Astronomy Experience Night Mar 28 @ 8:15 pm – 10:00 pm ![]() March 28, 8:15 – 10:00 pm Early spring evenings are cool and sometimes crystal clear, affording great views of the night sky. On this evening, we’ll be treated to powerful telescopic views of a waxing gibbous moon and the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, and its moons! The International Space Station passes overhead from west to east at about 8:30 pm, a wonderful sight in binoculars. Later, we’ll view the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades, Hyades and Perseus star clusters, and perhaps glimpse the planet Uranus. Join us for this exciting and educational night under the stars! The parade will assemble at 9:30 a.m. at Wildwood School (51 Glen Road) and steps off at 10:00 a.m. The parade route will remain unchanged and the ceremonies take place immediately following the parade at Memorial Park.
In the event of inclement weather there will be no parade. Nevertheless, the traditional placement of the wreaths will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Park, followed by indoor Memorial Day ceremonies at 10 a.m. in the Mountain Lakes High School auditorium (Powerville Road). Updates for Parade status will be posted to the Borough Website, www.mountainlakes.gov
