| Astronomy Experience Night 8:15 pm Astronomy Experience Night Mar 28 @ 8:15 pm – 10:00 pm ![]() March 28, 8:15 – 10:00 pm Early spring evenings are cool and sometimes crystal clear, affording great views of the night sky. On this evening, we’ll be treated to powerful telescopic views of a waxing gibbous moon and the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, and its moons! The International Space Station passes overhead from west to east at about 8:30 pm, a wonderful sight in binoculars. Later, we’ll view the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades, Hyades and Perseus star clusters, and perhaps glimpse the planet Uranus. Join us for this exciting and educational night under the stars! Lead by Morris Museum Astronomical Society. Halsey Field, behind the tennis courts. Bring a flashlight to walk the patch, binoculars (if you have them), and dress for the weather. The 23rd annual Town Club Holiday Boutique moves to the Mountain Lakes Club on Thursday, November 20. The Boutique will feature 30 unique vendors selling gift items for everyone on your list! All proceeds benefit our community grants program. Hours will be 10- 3pm for $5 admission and 6-10pm for a $20 admission. Evening admission includes complimentary wine, appetizers and a raffle ticket. Admission is at the door.
The 2014 Town Club Holiday House Tour will be Friday, December 5th. Four extraordinary Laker homes will be on tour from 5-9pm as well as the historic Lake Drive School from 5-7pm. Tickets are $35 and are available online at townclubml.org and at the Mountain Lakes library beginning November 20.
