| Astronomy Experience Night 8:15 pm Astronomy Experience Night Mar 28 @ 8:15 pm – 10:00 pm  March 28, 8:15 – 10:00 pm Early spring evenings are cool and sometimes crystal clear, affording great views of the night sky. On this evening, we’ll be treated to powerful telescopic views of a waxing gibbous moon and the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, and its moons! The International Space Station passes overhead from west to east at about 8:30 pm, a wonderful sight in binoculars. Later, we’ll view the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades, Hyades and Perseus star clusters, and perhaps glimpse the planet Uranus. Join us for this exciting and educational night under the stars! Lead by Morris Museum Astronomical Society. Halsey Field, behind the tennis courts. Bring a flashlight to walk the patch, binoculars (if you have them), and dress for the weather. The Borough cordially invites all residents, friends and neighbors to this year’s Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony. The parade will step off at 10 a.m. in front of Wildwood School and the ceremonies will take place immediately following the parade at Memorial Park. In the event of inclement weather, there will be no parade. Instead, the traditional placement of the wreaths will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Park. We hope you can join us in honoring and remembering those men and women who have given their lives for our Country and who have helped to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

Art at the Esplanade—Sunday, June 4th
Mountain Lakes will host its 3rd annual open-air art show on Sunday, June 4th from 11am – 5 pm at the base of Esplanade Park on Elm Street (just across the train tracks from The Station restaurant). Visitors will stroll the tree-lined heart of the borough, where more than 55 emerging artists will feature original paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, photography, and more. All art will be available for sale. Art at the Esplanade will also feature children’s art activities coordinated by the Mountain Lakes Library. Music will be provided by Rick Winowski (Rick Winow Music). The event has attracted the generous sponsorship of the Roberts Fund of the Mountain Lakes Library, whose goal is to encourage a culture of art appreciation throughout the community.
