Laker 55+ Club Morristown Historical Tour – Revolutionary War
Morristown Historical Tour – Revolutionary War
Sunday, June 1 from 1-3pm
$10 per person
As we approach the 250th anniversary of America’s Independence, join us on the Green in Morristown to discover its importance during the Revolutionary War. We will begin by touring the Green itself, pointing out the many sites and buildings associated with the Revolution. We’ll next cross the street to the Presbyterian Church on the Green which goes back to before the Revolution itself. We proceed down Morris Street past the Historic Train Station to the Schuyler-Hamilton House. Only open 3 hours each week, it is the place where Alexander Hamilton first met and courted Eliza Schuyler. From there we walk to the gem of Historical Morristown, Washington’s Headquarters and museum, where for two winters during the Revolutionary War Washington housed his army.
Pre-registration is required by Tues, May 27th.
Complete the form below and drop payment off at Borough Hall. We can also accept credit cards at Borough Hall.
