web site provides instruction for kids learning to sail and race, and
descriptions of exciting and skill building sailing games for children.
This site is under
continuous development. Your comments and suggestions are welcome
as are photos and video of youth sailing which you think might be
instructional or informative. We particularly solicit descriptions
of sailing games for kids, and most importantly, for games which are
fast paced and appropriate for all kinds of single or two-handed boats
and are capable of being played in a variety of water and weather
conditions.
The
photo to the left shows a Blue boat scoring on the Orange goal during a
sailball game. An Orange boat is pursuing the Blue boat.
The Orange boat has the right of way, and if Blue fouls her before
the score, Orange gets a point.
When a defensive boat is in her defensive zone, she always has the right of way.
